Clawdbot is an open-source 'air traffic controller' that orchestrates any language model and is highly flexible in its interface (Telegram, Slack, etc.). Unlike n8n, it doesn't require complex, breaking node workflows. It uses 'Skills' which are invoked only when needed, avoiding the context bloat of older Message Chain Prompts (MCPs).
A Skill is a constrained, plain-English cheat sheet of functions from a service (e.g., 11 Labs). It tells the Language Model exactly how and when to use that specific functionality. This 'just-in-time' invocation prevents context window bloat.
The 'soul.md' file stores the agent's core identity and behavioral preferences. It's generated after an interview process where the agent asks you how it should behave (e.g., direct vs. soft tone, preferred name). This acts as the agent's core priming.
The main options are: 1. Cloud Hosting (e.g., AWS free tier) for cost-efficiency. 2. A Dedicated Local Machine (e.g., Mac Mini) for a fully separate, secure workspace and easier local model hosting. 3. Local Containerization (e.g., Docker) for local operation without a dedicated machine.
